The center for strategic studies, in collaboration with the center for continuing education at university of Anbar held a scientific lecture titled “security and intelligence analysis” at the center’s hall on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.
The session was led by Dr. Tareq Hamid Mahmoud, director of the Center and attended by the center’s researchers along with individuals interested in security and strategic issues.
The event was organized as part of the center’s ongoing commitment to strengthening academic and research competencies in security and strategic fields. It aimed to enhance researchers’ expertise in contemporary intelligence analysis methodologies and their practical relevance to decision-making processes.
The lecture covered several principal topics, including the role of security analysis in shaping policy and decision making, intelligence information sources and validation techniques and the key challenges confronting analytical practices in light of rapidly changing security developments at both national and international levels.
The workshop also included scholarly contributions and discussions from participating researchers, which added depth and value to the proceedings.
