((A New Research Achievement for the Strategic Studies Center))

The center for Strategic Studies  at the University of Anbar has achieved a new academic milestone with the publication of a joint research article by Assistant Professor Dr. Falah Mubarak Bardan, head of the department of future studies and crisis management, titled:

“Russian Geonarratives and Arab Media: Multipolarity, Eurasianism and Constructed ‘non-Wests’.”

The article was published in the British Journal of Middle Eastern Studies, issued by the international academic publisher Taylor & Francis.

This work was the result of international scholarly collaboration with Professor Eckart Woertz of the University of Hamburg, who also serves as director of the German Institute for Global and Area Studies (GIGA), Germany, in addition to researcher Dima Abu Alkheir from the same institute.

The journal is ranked in the first quartile (Q1) in the Scopus database and is indexed in SSCI (Web of Science), reflecting its prestigious academic standing and rigorous peer-review standards.

The study analyzes Russian geopolitical narratives in Arab media within an advanced theoretical and methodological framework, supported by an internationally published research database.

This publication represents a significant addition to the Strategic Studies Center’s presence in leading indexed international journals and further strengthens cross-border research collaboration..
