Workshop on Scopus Journal Metrics

As part of the ongoing commitment of researchers at the University of Anbar Centre for Strategic Studies to stay updated with the latest developments in publishing in reputable academic journals and within the framework of the strategic agreement between Iraq’s Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Elsevier, as well as the directives of the Ministry and the University of Anbar’s leadership, researchers at UACSS attended a workshop titled: Scopus Journals Metrics and Journal Quartiles for Iraqi Universities. The workshop was held on 24 October 2024 and organised by Elsevier. 

 Mr Wael Mansour led the session from Elsevier, who discussed the process of publishing in Scopus-indexed journals, identifying reputable journals, understanding journals removed from Scopus, and recognising high-quality Arabic-language journals indexed in Scopus. 

After the workshop, the researchers at UACSS expressed their gratitude to the organisers and appreciation for the valuable insights provided during the session. The workshop addressed recurring questions about publishing in reputable academic journals indexed in Scopus .
